Escape from the Seychelles (and covid)
The Mulligan Mystery Series continues.
This book is the fourth in the Mulligan Detective Series after swimming in Mulligan Stew, Murder in the Caymans and Missing in India. Mulligan is in the hospital in the Seychelle Islands, recovering from a mystery, non covid, illness he got in India. He gets treated very well but does suspect that the royal treatment on the Island, courtesy of our old friend the Inspector (Scotland Yard, MI6, ?) came with a price. Indeed, his new luxury apartment with Veronica was next to a man who he was told was a leading gangster in the world of off shore banking, shell companies and large scale tax invasion. Mulligan was to befriend this highly guarded and suspecting gangster. Great!. All they wanted to begin with was where the gangster was planning to travel to next. Mulligan indeed makes real friends with the suspect but suddenly everything changes when covid begins to spread worldwide. Mulligan literally escapes not only his new friend's enemies as well as covid by sailing away in the friend's luxury Feadship yacht and all over the Pacific as they await a vaccine and a country that will allow them to hide. All time for lots of things to happen, definitely.
In addition, there are the humorous, honest emails from our other really old friend Bruno, who is now very wealthy and writes of setting up an intentional community in the Gulf Islands in BC, Canada.

The Truth is Always True: a Mulligan Mystery
The Mulligan Mystery Series continues.
In the 5th Mulligan mystery, Mulligan is retired and living with Veronica on Bruno's intentional community in the BC Gulf Islands. When a case comes up, Mulligan doesn't want to be involved as it revolves around female friends of Veronica who are in the process of going after a US Celeb who sexually abused them. And part of their intricate plan to nail him involves needing a detective to go help them in San Francisco. So Mulligan turns to a friend Randy who just graduated from a detective school. Randy goes to San Fran and helps in the women's intricate plan. It ultimately involves offshore banking and tax evasion. Randy tells most of the story but safe to say that it is a powerful story of strong women ensuring the perp is held accountable. No bullshit lawyers of the perp to abuse them again in court. Meanwhile the intentional community evolves as it was in the previous book Escape from the Seychelles (and covid). You can find the rest of Mulligan Mysteries on Kindle and at my website, johnboland.com. Please enjoy. Note that all Mulligan Mysteries are adult in nature and contain occasional mention of consensual sex and cannabis.

Non Fiction
"Wherever you go, there you are" – © Buddha
Non fiction : Over 100 personal stories originally written for a magazine. Most of the stories are short 300 to 400 words as that was the format of the magazine. The stories are from my personal travels and experiences, most with a sense of humour. I hope you enjoy my writings.
This also provides over 108 ideas for screenplays that I could also be paid for (though my detective fiction would also make great screenplays...) or after the movie made without my permission makes money, I could sue and make lots of at least publicity...xD (see if kdp knows this is a laughing emjoi code...ooops, I guess not...)
